Description: This course is an introductory level examination of the development of orthodox doctrine during the first 500 years of Church history with emphasis on Trinitarian and Christological issues. Doctrinal development will be traced by examining various doctrinal disputes the Church fathers handled during this time, from both within and without the “orthodox” Church.

Description: This course provides students with a knowledge of world religions through the light of biblical Christianity in order to counteract the lure of religious concepts being offered in the global market place today. Students will learn to distinguish religious strengths from weaknesses, predict philosophical dilemmas, break down doctrinal components, categorize overlapping precepts and evaluate the overriding motifs of each religion in comparison to the strengths of biblical Christianity.
